Dusk Shroud or Archon Plate?

Sorry, yes another question and thread, and yes, I've searched but still dont understand why somone would prefer Dusk Shroud over Archon Plate.

From what I see they're both classified as "light" so shouldnt the stamina go down the same rate?

I'm using Windforce so already need a lot of strength. The Grand Matron Bow's need the same strength to wear Archon.

Some nice guy gave me a 4s Superior Dusk Shroud and said it would be great for CoH. What scares me is that it has a magical modifier in blue 5% Enhanced Defence and I'm worried my Runeword would fail because of it. Yes the item name is in grey.

PS: I'm a FA/Strafer if that makes a diff.|||Dusk requires less strenght, that's why. If is says "Superior Dusk Shroud" and it is indeed gray you can make a runeword in it. If it says in blue something like "Dusk of somethingsomething", then no

Edit: I mean the title of the item. The ed is diplayed in blue under the item|||People use low str req armors for Enigma because of its big strength boost, for other runewords AP is generally the best. You can still get away with an AP for windforce since it only gives 20 strength.

Runewords work in plain white items, but also in superior (grey) items that get up to 15% increased defense, durability or damage.|||WF is a Hydra Bow, not a GMB....but really any Zon will be OK with AP, as both GMB and Hydra have higher str reqs than an AP.

4os DS is actually kinda pointless since most Sorcs will have a Spirit Monarch, which requires way more STR than an AP. Only case I can see is maybe a sorc using a Dream Tower Shield.

DS is generally only good in a 3os variety, useful for Engima. Pallies, Necs, and even some Sorcs will use Enigma DS because its huge STR bonus means they can equip their Spirit Monarchs and such without having to invest the 25 extra points to wear an AP, and Enigma's armor bonus is flat-rate, not percentile, so the base armor difference between DS and AP becomes more negligible.|||u all forget the style...if it�s not str bugged, dusk looks way better than ap on most builds

and without a defense boosting skill, the difference in defense is meaningless|||Kraken is top for style points on a zon.

It's such a shame they carry a warpike differently to the valkyrie. |||I think Ama looks coolest with a MP/AP.

All a matter of preference, so I've taken to using wyrmhide for style to differentiate from everyone using nothing but ds/ap.|||A little off topic here but I finally got all my runes for CoH. Last time I had a Runeword was Harmony and found out the hard way it was ladder only.

i know the Runes go in a certain order...but...do they need to go in certain sockets as well?|||Ignore the sockets when placing the runes, they'll go in the right place. But like you said, the order is critical.
