Gear for new player

Hi,

So I recently started Diablo 2 and am going to make either a pure lightning amazon build or a hybrid with the freezing arrow, fishyamazon build (i think).

I was wondering where I could get started farming really low level gear. I did the whole baal runs and am level 35. But I cannot even kill anything haha! My gear is very bad, i only have level 3-20 gear. So I need to find some low level amazon gear. Where would I farm for such gear?

I have bad gear so is there a place with low level monsters that drop good gear so i can get better?

There's really no specific place to farm equipment for your amazon imo. You should pump up your CS damage as soon as possible while leveling and that should get your into nightmare with relative ease. After a while your LF will start to become useful and you'll likely want replenishing javelins, you can gamble for rares or just shop some magic ones.

To get some decent starting gear you should be doing what every other build should do, run countess and get some basic runewords. The second quest reward in act 5 is an easy ancients pledge runeset, which will take care of a large part of your resist needs.

Check out insight, lore, stealth, rhyme and smoke ... normal/nightmare countess really is your best friend when you're just starting from scratch.



That was spoken from an untwinked point of view ... if your question is rather more like "where can my mf sorc or other high level character find some amazon items?", then your best bet is hell meth/andy as usual. You'll be looking for titans, valkyrie wing, razortail and lidless etc ...|||Do Baal runs to level 55. Try to get any saphires or Tir runes that drop. Check to see if anybody sells any while waiting for the teleporter to get to the throne room.

Shop for 3 open socket breastplate and kite shield and 2 open socket helm in act 2 normal. Stick in Tirs/Saphires. Shop for gloves/boots/belt with resists.

Run cows for resist charms or move on to nightmare. When you complete nightmare do NM cow runs but be careful no one kills the king. Pick up charms, gems, and jewels to trade with.

Move on to Hell. Run Hell cows.
