Guide: Godly light javazon

[:1]The godly light javazon : only for the rich, the determined, and those who want to rip entire areas to pieces

Why the Light Javazon?

Pro's - Amazing at cow slaughtering, incredibly high damage, loads of fun to play, great for team games, fast boss killing

Con's - Very expensive for max damage, immunities if you cant afford Infinity merc, not incredibly versatile

Stat Point Distribution

Strength : Base your strength around your equipment. Minimum needed for equipment

Dex : Enough for max block if you want it, otherwise enough to use equipment (titans requires 109 dex so its probably worth getting max block)

Vit : Remaining points here for good life

Mana : Base

Equipment

Helm:

Griffons Eye - Great def, +1skills, -15/20% lightresi, 10/15% light dmg.

Armour: Two choices here.

Chains of Honour: Put this in a dusk or archon. My personal choice for the resi's, dmg redu, skills, life leech and str bonus.

4 socket +life armour soxed with 4x perf light facets. STUPIDLY HIGH damage, but you miss out on all the defensive mods. You can however get 4 socket armour with +80-100life, but it's so damn expensive. Only really recommended if you're in a team or hunting for ludicrious damage.

Weapon:

Etheral Upgraded 190+ED Titans, hands down, no competition. Great damage, Life Leech, +2 java Skills, +2 all skills, +45FRW, 20 strength, 20 dex, replenishes quantity, life leech, damage add, increased stack size! Just amazing.

Weapon switch:

Call To Arms for the Battle Orders OR

Another Upgraded eth titans incase you run out

Gloves:

Crafted Gloves: Mods to look out for are +2 java skills, +20IAS, Leech, Resi.

Belt:

Thundergods Vigor: My belt of choice, +3LF, +20strength, +20vitality, +20light absorb, +10 max light resi, and nice and cheap.

Shield:

4 socket shield with 4x light facets makes for ludicrious damage and shields can come with +life mods. Pretty much needed for very high damage so if you can't afford this, dont bother

Shield Switch:

Go for spirit monarch or stormshield, as you probably cant afford another 4 RBF shield

Boots:

No real choice here. Gore Riders will help with physical damage, War Travs if you want MF, vit and strength, Silkweave if you're struggling with mana and Aldurs Boots for pure faster run speed.

Charms:

7x Java skillers: Increases your damage via +skills.Extra useful mods are +life, +FHR, FRW, +Cold damage

Amazon Hellfire torch: Increases your damage via +3skills, also has +10-20 resistances and +10-20 stats. Decide how much you want to spend on one by looking at your current setup - get high resi's if you need them, get stats if you want more life or need more strength for equip or more dex for block (But you shouldnt)

Annihilus - +1 skills, Stats, Resi.

Small charms: Stock up on single resi small charms if you need resi's to one element. +20life are useful, +all resi if you need it. 7mf SC's if you plan to MF, +5FHR if you need to hit breakpoints, +goldfind if you're getting goldfind stats.

Mercanery Equipment

Get yourself an Act II Nightmare Defensive Mercanery. Holy Freeze will slow down almost all enemies leaving them free for you to lob javelins at them, simply, he's the best.

Pike: Infinity Eth CV. Conviction will slaughter your enemies resistances and inevitabely make you do LOT more damage. Eth CV for merc damage.

Armour: Eth Bugged Stone. This'll keep your merc alive in the heat of battle due to having possibly 4k defence.

Helmet: Vampire Gaze. Dual leech, 20% Damage Reduce. Awesome.

Skill Distribution

Possibly one of the most enjoyable concepts of the javazon is the fact that until level 99 you're always getting better and always have somewhere to put skills

20 Light Fury - Your main attack vs groups, incredibly powerful

20 Charged Strike - Secondary attack for single monsters and bosses, even higher damage

20 Lightning Strike (Synergy)

20 Lightning Bolt (Synergy)

X Pierce - Add to taste, i have 5 hard points in here which totals in the 70% area after +skills. This is needed for Light Fury to pierce through monsters and basically deal more damage in one throw

Dodge, Avoid, Evade - to taste. I chose one point each as I mostly kill cows so don't get hit much so they're not nessacery, but up to you. I wouldnt spend more than 4 points each

Remaining points in Power Strike (Synergy)

1 Critical Strike

1 Penetrate

1 Jab

1 Plague Javelin

1 Poison Javelin

I'm Finished - Now What?

Cow Runs - Simply, nothing beats the javazon for cow runs. Good drops, level 83 area

Chaos Sanctuary Runs - Only if you've invested in an Infinity merc to take on immunes. Great runs, level 85 area.

Baal Runs - Maybe harder to get to, but you will be able to take on Baal solo.

PvP - Charged Strike is great and with fast run speed you'll be tearing through people, although this isn't a great PvP build it's possible.

Enjoy

Feel free to ask any questions etc. Hope this is some use to people|||Nice writeup.

A few things to note though.

Titans does not have to be ethereal, nor upp'd. The physical damage is not important, it'll help you leech back mana/life but that's pretty much it.

The merc.

A holy freeze merc will make it harder to herd the cows. I prefer no merc when cowing, and everywhere else I use a might merc.

It's a matter of preference though since no matter what merc you got, you can always just play without him when the need arises

And as for shields. I'd recommend max block if you got a stormshield/jmod/ other high block shield, and leave dex at 'needed for gear level' if using spirit/4x rbf monarch (unless of course they're socketed in the jmod :P )|||In some areas razortail will thrash the Tgods, especially cows. You can easily hit the 95% pierce limit with 1 hard point in pierce. Especially if you are going for max damage, more pierce is better and more pierce with less stat points is great (even considering the +3 to LF on tgods).

Of course of you're baal running, Tgods are a life saver.|||Quote:

Pierce does not have a limit... 100%+ is possible.|||Here's a pierce table (not written by me) to clear things up

Assuming maximum 5 pierces (6 hits):

past 100% will not make any difference.

@nubikoen : you need a merc. Infinity. good point though, perhaps some other kind of merc could come in handy.

@jjscud : you won't need extra pierce because compared to the extra 300 damage or so that tgods adds, the extra pierce won't do much as long as you have it at a decent level already.|||So is this better than any bowazon build out there?

Making a zon and trying to figure out if I should go bowa or jav... I heard jav was better because of ele damage but isn't it way more expensive?|||First of all, nice gear.

You didn't mention what jewelry you use, or if you did I didn't see it. Also what is the damage on your LF, and CS when running with all RBF'd gear, and without? Also what is your AR, and do you have trouble jabbing away at LI's where infinity won't break them?

Tyrr - It is extremely expensive. Be nice if the estimated cost's of the items were included so people can guage just how expensive this build is.|||Quote:

So is this better than any bowazon build out there?

If you can afford the infinity, it's far far better.

Even without it's still great, but the infinity is, imo, the one thing that makes it godly.

And yeah, I forgot about the merc beeing needed to wear the infinity (probably because I don't have one... yet :P )

Merry christmas everyone.|||A couple of things.

I have a tstrokes and a spirit shield on the switch with eth titans and storm shield for regular play and the only times I died were the 3 times in one day in the same game when lag was destroying my buddy and I while I was rushing him and the one time in chaos sanctuary when I didn't realize I had been cursed by amp damage and let the venom lords bum rush me like a noob =P

As for the merc, I love my merc and all he has on are a tals helm, eth lionheart great haubrek and eth insight.

Tals mask leeches with the best of them and is literally 10 times cheaper than gaze. In fact, it's often free =D

Lionheart is so damn cheap, it's stupid and my merc leveled with me so the only times he has problems staying alive are places with amp damage curses and cows when he rushes ahead and I don't notice his life bar.

Insight because I can't bear to not wear goreriders on my zon so this is a good alternative.

No need for Infinity when you have +4 t gods on the switch with a spirit shield for an extra boost. It's good bye to anything.

The only thing that's annoying is when it's a room full of souls. Then I gotta switch to jab and run around poking them all to death and when there's 20 of them it gets annoying.

This is why I chose a might merc. It makes this easier and like someone above already said, the holy freeze dude makes herding harder than it has to be.

My two cents.

*remsy

*remsee|||@remsy : this is a high damage build, you're basically describing your run of the mill javazon there. i've played that build before and ran into so many problems its untrue, so decided to make this, and she's a lot better.

@DBaron : you're right, but i'm sure i wrote that in. choose bk's, soj's or dual leech rings (i'm using bk's for life leech and +skills) and a maras, cats eye or highlords. AR i believe doesn't matter to the javazon as you just CS away at light immunes (griffons and facets break their immunities.) I cant really write up approx costs as it varies from realm to realm.

@Tyrr : purely depends what you're using her for, plus i've never played bowazon so cant comment.
