These are the posts I read in here:
Wmeredith one
Tumbleweed one
and some other with Google.
The point is: everybody's talking about using a wrath having a faith merc and full gear, so that imply having a lot of wealth to invest. I don't want to invest that much: I'm thinking about using a ber to do a wrath in a 4sox mat bow +3sk, or use a little more wealth and go for a safe decision with faith.
The fact is that I don't want to rely on my merc to kill: in the previous ladder i had a faith-zon from a friend, and she was able to kill easly without any merc. I'm sure I can do that again with a new char with faith, but I'm asking: I would be able to do the same with a Wrath-zon? Or I'll depend on my merc aura to kill fast (faith or pride + might, it doesn't matters...)?
I'm not that rich to have both and try, but I'm also quite curious about this build. Also note that I have never tried a wws, wich is similar to wrath thinking about its low damage and curses: should i try this first, being it quite cheap (i guess i can get one for less then an ist, right?)? Or even Windforce? Also never tried it (yes, I'm kind of new to bowa).
Very important info too: I'm gonna use strafe. I like strafe, even if sometime I died for it.
But as for the thread main theme: is wrath worth a try (and a ber) for a quite unexperienced curious bowa?
Thanks for reading.
ODBC|||Faith is better, the problem with Wrath is that pretty much all it has going for it is the CtC Decrep and the little bit of CB. No general ED, no IAS, no AR/ITD, etc.
Faith is also less than ideal for a pure Strafer since you wont need any of the IAS bonus you get from Fanat. There are guides in the stickies for pure Strafers.
If you're inexperienced, and trying to go on the cheap, WF is the way to go. You can definitely get one for Ist, and it gives you much better damage than Wrath does. WWS is even cheaper - talking probably a couple pgems - and also is very effective|||Ok then, I'm going to buy both WF and WWS to see how they feel... and then, I'll take my decision.
For the moment, many thanks for your clear and fast opinion.
ODBC|||If you are new to bowazon, you don't want to use wrath.
Wrath (and brand for that matter) aren't all that bad. It's just that windforce or faith are just as good or better and that building them is much easier.
So don't try wrath yet. Maybe do so when you are really wealthy.
And don't compare wrath to wws. Fine, they have some things in common though I believe wrath is much more powerfull. compared to your wf, wws is going to feel very weak. Wrath will not feel as weak as wws will.
P.S. You should try and find the original post of Wmeredith where he prizes it through the roof.

Well, you don't need ias if you are going to use strafe. no general ed isn't all that important if you can fill your inventory with damage charms not to mention that the -physical resistance is much more effective and much more reliable then atma's. And no ar/itd can be solved just as it can be solved for a windforce.
Wrath indeed has setbacks, though it has advantages too. In the end, it comes down to what you (and only you) think is more important.|||Okok, I just got the wws and yes, I'm not feeling that safe

When I was comparing it with wrath, I was doing so talking about the way they kill, not ofc the overall quality of them.
Anyway, I hope i'll put my hands on a Wf very soon, so I could feel the difference between it and my Band New Upped Shael'd Shael'd WitchWild String (BNUSSWWS).
Thanks NASE for your reply.

Yes, and his post at page 5 made me think again about that build. Reading the first post, he looked just so enthusiastic that he made me curious about that.
Anyway, I'm goin' slow with this, trying a little bit with wws and WF. Then I'll decide. Any other thought is highly appreciated.
Cheers,
ODBC|||ShaelShael WWS? ><
Again, pure Strafers don't need very much IAS. Strafe reaches its true maximum speed with very little IAS investment, especially in a fast base bow like a Diamond Bow.
For WWS, I'd suggest you wipe those sockets clean (WWS+Hel+TP scroll in the cube) and go NefEth instead. The Nef will give you Knockback, which is a huge safety bonus, and Eth will give you -25% enemy defense, which will help you hit a lot more often - and more hits means more damage, more leeching, and more Amps triggered.|||Ok, I'ts just that I bought it made that way, so I didn't bother the sox yet, but I'll try the couple of runes you suggested.
Thanks again,

but that's my point (too).
They don't kill the same way. They both kill by using their curse, but that's it. Wrath does this instantly. With wws, you can go and have a coffee if you have to wait for amp to trigger.
I was thinking like something in the lines of this.
