what's next for my bowzon

Howdy,

looking for some suggestions on next steps for my PvM ladder bowzon. Here's what I'm currently rocking (standard cookie-cutter):

faith gmb, fort, 45ias mav's diadem, gores, loh, 2/20 bow gloves, nos coil, cats eye, dual leech ring, raven, torch, harmony on switch for running to pits :P

a2 merc has: reapers toll, duriel's, crown of thieves

I mostly solo cows, pits and chaos, would like to work up the resists to solo wsk.

Here's my wish list:

call to arms for switch

merc fort

merc andys

anni

eth reaper's toll

pride eth ca

I have the funds right now for probably 1 of the above, maybe 2 if one is andys.

I was thinking first maybe call to arms for my switch, but I do love that harmony for running out of trouble. I can't afford the pride right now, but I could start saving if that's going to net me the best return.

With cta I could respec and put a lot of my vit points in dex...

Your gear doesnt actually fall into anything I'd call cookie cutter for PvM...also you cant have both 2/20 gloves and LoH

I'm gonna assume Strafe/Multi since Strafer wouldn't need the IAS and Icemaiden would need more +skills than you're showing. In which case:

Helm to Andy's IAS, belt to Razortail, ammy to Atma's, gloves try to craft a 20 IAS/KB - knockback is a huge boon to bowzons. Yes, you lose the 7 fpa IAS bp, but IMO its better to have the 100% pierce from Razortail, the KB, and the CtC Amp from Atma's, you'll do better damage in the long run vs areas. Alternatively, you could go Giant Skull 2xIAS for the KB and LoH for gloves, since you have a LL ring; the CB would be good if you use Strafe a lot. That'd also lets you switch your merc to:

Eth Obedience (super cheap)

ebug Treachery

CoT

which is a better setup offensively and defensively with the higher IAS and the huge CB and AR boost, until you can get a Pride, which should definitely be your next priority.

I'd also suggest skipping CtA or worrying about resists, bowzons will never be tanks and your best defense is always just avoiding attacks by playing smart with your valk and decoy.|||Quote:

Atmas does less damage with multi than highlord/runs slower than cats,

cb is useless with multi,

no loh means lower dam and res,

andys has practically no damage advantages

100% pierce helps very little compared to 90%(especially with 24 arrow multi)

This is massive loss of damage for a few trivial mods youre suggesting..

And another thing. Theres no situation where obedience can out-perform reapers.(well, except for necros or other self casting cursers)

I think, if one was to sacrifice the 7 fpa bp, the better deal would be to get enigma.|||droid: I'm a strafe-multi. I'll probably stick with the gear I have. I assumed it was pretty cookie, I swear by rylix's bowazon guide.

Think I'm going to go for pride next. Have a eth ca insight on my sorc i can clean. I will miss the decrepify from reapers though...
