Impale instead of jab?

I was thinking of maxing impale for lightning immunes ( and bosses ) on my javazon. The durabilty loss will not matter much with titans right? I will have a total of +11 to java skills so it will be 23% I think.|||Impale would do more damage, but jab would be way faster and I think it'd do much more damage over time than Impale. I made a Jabazon and just Jab and I put some skills into Plague/Poison jav and some more into lightning jav skills to deal with phys immunes, and she solod threw hell fine. I never tried impale though, so you could give it a shot, but I think impale would work better with a two handed spear with massive damage, rather than titan's with lower damage.|||Quote:

Well according to my math, a level 31 impale with a perfect upped titans would do max of around 2200, while jab would do around 700. Even if jab managed to hit all 3 times in the same amount of time to do 1 impale, it would still do less, and I don't think it can hit that fast.

Also you cant beat that 800% AR bonus.

The only thing I'm worried about is the durability loss.

I don't care to give up my titans / storm for any 2 hander either.

Because with the absolute fastest base speed spear -20 and insane amounts of IAS gear you will be lucky to hit 1.5 impales per second

that wouldn't be too too bad except you are forgetting mr.hit recovery/block/passives|||Plus, Jab is uninterruptible, so as long as you dont die or run out of mana, you can jab all day till the cows come home.

The only real downsides I've seen to jab is that the damage boost from the skill isnt that great it's +57% at slvl20. Not very high. ANother problem is that you have to wait until the 3 jabs are in before you can do anything else. This can spell a quick death if you run into cold enchanted archers. Your jab slows down when you get chilled to about 1 jab every second, which can leave you vulnerable.|||Quote:

which means you have to heavily abuse crushing blow/DS/CS|||The Valkyrie uses Impale exclusively. That's why iI call it the 'weaponless tank'.
