New amazon help...

[:1]All the new Diablo 3 info has gotten me fiending for something, and Diablo 2 is as close as I can come right now... so I'm starting up after a *very* long time away from the game.

I'm thinking I want to make a fishyzon, but that really seems like a build at endgame with certain sets of gear. With the free respecs, it seems there may be significantly easier builds to level up and get started with, then switch over down the road. So, does anyone have suggestions (or is able to point me towards appropriate guides) on what's easy to level up as with zero extra gear, just to get started with? I've read poison, lightning... really don't know what to start as. Also, at what point should I try to switch over to a 'final' build? Any advice is appreciated!|||Hi there.

Charged strike synergized by lightning fury will comfortably get you to level 70+ and Hell and make running nightmare cows a breeze. Merc supported by decoy/valkyrie/jab can take care of a few LI's found up to that point.|||Thanks, will try that. It is also in the Amazon Build Guides and Other Useful Information Sticky if the link doesn't work. As Tarantella said maxing the lightning skills first will make your life the easiest as the lightning damage scales much quicker than the cold arrows do. The charged stike is for single (boss type) and large enemies while the lightning fury makes quick work of large groups. The frozen arrow is more of just a back-up skill for those pesky lightning immunes.

A fishyzon is probably one of the least gear dependent amazons as they don't need to rely on top end gear to survive. Pretty much any javelins with + jav skills (+3 jav skills preferably, at level 45) is going to help you the most in early levels since your damage relies on skill points. The best thing to look out for is a titan's revenge ceremonial javelins, these will help you substantially and aren't too difficult to get a hold of.|||When to switch to your "final" build is usually dependent on when you acquire decent gear for the new build. For Fishyzon that's pretty much just a Titans

For the first 35 levels till you have a decent LF, search for my "proto-zon" guide, thats what I'd suggest
